Digitalism Kicks Some FIXED Ass

Digitalism did a giant one-two punch that annihilated anyone who was lucky enough to be on the dance floor when they fired up their finely-tuned drum machines. Instead of just dropping their tracks from vinyl they decided to play the majority of the songs from sequencers and beat boxes with a little help from a computer and mixer. It was a perfect compromised between the live dance instrumentation of Soulwax and the straight killer DJ set from Justice.
Here are the two surefire hits they played at both Hiro Ballroom and Fixed. The excellent production on both songs will sadly never compare to how they sound live. Seriously it felt like a monolith dropping right into the midst of pre-dawn man. It was a freak out.

Here’s a lil vid vid action of Digitalism fuckin up the FIXED crowd with “Zdarlight” at TTL Estoy Con Estupido.
Here’s a video off Justice ripping it up at Fixed just as well as the Digitalism boys during “We are your Friends!” on Music for Robots

ummm….I mentioned once that DJs will be replaced by robots/computers. Everyone laughed at me (*points an accusing finger at miscreatedchild*). Now it’s cool?
